Bought an Avery Skyline a year ago…..so simple to put together and has performed perfectly for a year. So bought a Ultra Fat Tire bike….again, simple to assemble the few pieces needed to roll. The bike has been all over for two months…. both bikes run beautifully and neither has needed any adjustments. The bikes are beautifully painted and love the designs. These bikes cost less than what I was looking at in bikes shops and really, more beautiful and obviously the bikes perform well. My two cents. You won’t be let down.
Mounted as directed. The rattling make me want to take them off. I 3D printed additional hardware to give the fender more support which fixes the issue.
Have really enjoyed the blix ultra. Very glad we went with the hub drive. Customer service has also been great!
At 62 I’m semi-retiring my mtn bike. I live in the mtns of far western NC, and started riding bikes more seriously after I retired at 50. Since we’re in the mtns I naturally gravitated toward mtn bikes. I got my grandson a small trex mtn bike for his 5th birthday, and we’ve been riding together ever since! Well, it’s been harder and harder for me to keep up with him and finally decided to get an e-bike for myself but wanted one that I could still hit the trails on with my grandson. I had purchased a Sol for my wife about 3 yrs ago and we’ve been very happy with it thus far! So, when I saw that Blix now had the Ultra, I figured it was for me! So, at 62, with an e-bike, I’ve kinda been given the opportunity to keep riding with my grandson for a few more years anyway!! Oh, and I have loved my Ultra!! Thanks Blix! It has done and performed exactly as I had hoped! Ps. Not sure exactly what the reasoning is behind not allowing an e-bike on certain trails!? - but for this grandpa, it has allowed me to keep going with my grandson (and keep up with my wife- but we’ll not tell her I said that!)
Ordered my Bike in Dec. 22 with delivery in late January, arrived as promised. Had to ship to USVI via Paradise Frieght, one week later and $95.00 poorer, shipped and arrived ahead of schedule. Assembly was a breeze with the tools provided. Instruction manual was online and outdated, but I figured out te controls with the online app. Its a heavy bike and the PAS seems to reset everytime, the bike goes to sleep but it has just shy of 80 mile range (I use PAS 5 and have several hills on my commute) but the bike rides like a champ, there is a little rubbing on the front wheel (waiting on dry lube to arrive) and the inhibitor on the motor gets on my nerves as it attempts to slow me to 20 mph on downhill glides. Biggest issue is that I cannot hack the inhibitor because the Ultra uses a 12 magnet sensor and Customer Service wont tell me how to hack the sensor because it would void a warranty, that I will never be ever to use due to the location of the bike (USVI) All in all love the bike, but would love it more if I could get it up to 28 mph.
