It’s officially springtime, and the flowers are blooming, snow is melting, and we can finally be in the warm-weather spirit. Although it’s super exciting to look forward to summer bike rides and barbecues, spring is a great time to pay it forward to your community. Here are three ways to pay it forward this spring.
Spread positivity
There is a strong power in positivity, and it can spread like wildfire. One way to pay forward is to spread positivity around you. You never know how a small comment could change someone’s day. Here are a few ways you can spread positivity.
Send a positive text to three people in your life.
Sending a text only takes a few seconds, and it can change someone’s entire mood. Pay a compliment to your friend, tell your parents you’re excited to see them soon or tell someone you’re proud of them.
Leave a note on someone’s car.
Make a stranger's day by putting a nice note on their car. You could either wish them a great day, leave a motivational message, or even leave them a small gift card.
Cheer on your community
If you know someone that’s been hard on themselves lately, send them a note to tell them that you’re their biggest cheerleader. Tell them they will do great on their following job interview, that they rocked their exam, or just that you’re excited about their success. It can make a world of difference to someone’s mood.
Lend a helping hand in your community
One of the greatest gifts you can give is time, so if you have a free afternoon this spring, lend a helping hand in your community! Here are a few ways you can help out in your community.
Volunteer at an organization you believe in.
Do some research, and find an organization with a mission that resonates with you. Then, reach out and see if there are any opportunities to volunteer. It’s that easy!
Help with community gardens
Reach out to your city, and see if there are any opportunities to help plant followers in your community. This could be a fun opportunity to meet others, make your community beautiful, and even travel to each location with your Blix bike.
Donate
If you don’t have time to volunteer, consider donating to a charity in your town, and it doesn’t have to be money! Do some spring cleaning around your home, and donate.
Commit to a small act each day
If you are unsure how to start getting involved in your community, start committing to a small act of kindness each day.
Here are some ideas:
- Pay for the person behind you in the drive-through
- Buy a homeless person a meal
- Donate spare change from your car
- Give advice to those that need it
- Offer to take a photo for a family
- Give out a few smiles
We can’t wait to see our Blix community get involved and help others! If you have recently lent a helping hand with your Blix bike, we would love to hear from you! Make sure to join our Blix Owners Group on Facebook and follow us on Instagram!
