Getting into a morning routine can be a bit of a struggle at first. However, if youre on the 9-5 grind, mornings can feel a little sluggish. There are incredible amounts of benefits that come from being an early riser. Research has shown that getting moving before you get to work, will help you in ways such as: higher productivity levels, physical health benefits, calmer disposition, and even longevity to their life to name just a few. Also: People who exercise in the morning are much more likely to consistently work out. For a few ideas about how to get moving in the morning to feel your best, continue reading. 

Stretch it out: A morning yoga session can bring about unparalleled amounts of peacefulness. Allowing yourself some time to move gently while you wake up is a special type of self care that will give you both mental and physical benefits over time. 

Go for a jog: I know, I know. But before you roll your eyes: It doesn’t need to be anything crazy, but even a 15-20 minute run (or walk!) around the neighborhood can help you wake up in a good way. Be gentle on yourself and just focus on breathing in some fresh air and clearing your head before you take on the day. 

Bike to Work: Riding an ebike to work might be the easiest way to slip in some exercise to your morning routine. Opting for a bike rather than the car is a fun and relaxing way to ease into the work day. Rather than shuffling through the morning traffic, you can whiz by getting your muscles moving and priming your brain for optimal productivity. 

Take your dog out for a walk: If you have a pooch, you’re one step ahead of the game! That morning walkcan do a lot of good for you. While you sleep, your body restores muscles, however if you wake up and just go it can result in some stiffness. Throw on some shoes, grab your pup and head outside. Why not, grab your coffee too! A 20 minute stroll will help you feel better all throughout the day. 

Spend some time in the garden: Get grounded! And dig into the earth. Getting your hands a little dirty in the morning has is a great way to boost your immune system, relieve stress, and get your daily dose of vitamin D.
