Take Back Happy Hour

Last year everything changed. 2020 took our idea of normal and twisted it in a way that will never look the same. Stop waiting for the past to come back and capitalize on the now.

Ride the wake of this evolution and break ground on a modern form of fun.

Happy hour is not defined by a glass of wine or a crowded bar. It’s an experience shared amongst friends at the end of a long day. For this reason, the inability to see loved ones during the pandemic has challenged everyone. Zoom happy hours can be fun but at the end of the day, you’re still alone (likely in sweatpants). Give your living room a break and fill the empty streets with laughter and workplace banter. By going back to the basics and putting an active spin on the evenings, you’ll remove the boundaries of your free time and chart a new direction. Move girls night outdoors and reconnect on a ride under the stars.

What happened to grass stains, foot races and unplanned adventures? The pastimes we used to plead for are still out there waiting to be enjoyed. Reassess what fun means to you without the structure of four walls and a ceiling. Maybe it's a socially distanced paint night in the backyard or a ride on your local trail? Either way, the current restraints are an invitation to get creative. The amount of activities that can spice up a Friday night are endless. You can increase the range of each hour by simply changing your perspective. Although, a motor and pedal assist can help.

In the midst of this chaos, a bond has formed. Together, we’ve gone in and out of lockdown and waited single file to get into the grocery store. We’ve misplaced masks, forgoed hugs and accepted a timeline that won't stop moving. Needless to say, each one of us is due for an adventure. Corral your friends and jump feet first into the new normal. Between 5pm and 7pm, close your laptop and unwind with the ones you love. Strap in some tunes, grab a jacket and race down the streets with no destination.

Don’t wait for adventure to land at your feet, open the door and challenge the day-to-day. You’ll never regret spending more time outside with the ones you love. Experience more fun in 2021.
